Production Supervisor

Reporting to the Production Manager, the Production Supervisor is accountable for the follow up of the production planning, and is responsible for managing the Manpower, on a daily basis
Main duties
- Prepare daily manpower planning according to production demand
- Process all batch orders as per the established planning
- Implement production plan and adapt to any downtimes to ensure availability of feed
- Monitor production records of each sections throughout the day to ensure smooth and efficient production
- Ensure proper Raw Material management and accurate re-ordering, in order to maintain required level of stock
- Make sure that work is performed in a safe manner, adhering to health and safety standards
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping in all areas of the factory
- Ensure feed is produced according to Quality standards, and that all required tests are performed and monitored
- Maintain and develop effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Perform weekly meetings with each section with the Factory Operators for Lean Management
- Accurately perform data input in the different systems and perform general administrative duties
Profile
- Holder of a Diploma in Electromechanics or Production Mechanics or equivalent
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar supervisory post
- Knowledge of the Manufacturing Industry is an advantage
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools
- Knowledge in SCADA systems
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Ability to work under pressure
- Willing to work after hours and on a shift system
- Interpersonal skills with a high level of integrity and a ‘Can Do’ attitude
- Detail-conscious with planning, organizational and time management abilities
