Logistics & Planning Officer

Reporting to the Logistics Manager, the Logistics and Planning Officer will be responsible to ensure that delivery of goods are planned, communicated and delivered to all customers as per requirements
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Participate in the development of efficient delivery routes for animal Feed, to enhance cost effectiveness and reduce transportation time
- Assist in the implementation of Key Performance Indicators to measure the effectiveness of Logistics Operations, and identify areas of improvement
- Coordinate with Sales Support for delivery planning and orders, routing, and address customer inquiries
- Keep a constant liaison with contractors and resellers to foresee any logistical challenges
- Monitor vehicle performance, effective delivery, and compliance with safety and quality standards
- Provide effective leadership to the Weighbridge team, and organize their daily tasks to optimize workflow, and serve as a back up
- Generate regular reports on delivery performance and relevant logistics metrics
- Perform administrative duties such as purchase requisitions, reconciliation of supplier invoices
Qualification and Profile
- Diploma in Logistics & Transport or any equivalent qualification
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in the logistics field
- Dynamic, detail-conscious and well organized
- Effective leadership and communication abilities
- Interpersonal skills with a ‘Can Do’ attitude
- Result oriented and a strong problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work under pressure and willing to work on odd hours
